Sadly &#8212; and oddly &#8212; the page <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hillmanfoundation.org\/2009-hillman-prize-photojournalism\">names the winners <\/a>but doesn&#8217;t link to the work itself. Allow me:<\/p>\n<p>* <a href=\"http:\/\/\"><strong>Childhood Poverty in Colorado<\/strong><\/a> &#8212; The Denver Post&#8217;s owner may be <a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.com\/2010\/03\/04\/medianewss-bankruptcy-pla_n_486707.html\">recovering from bankruptcy<\/a>, but the photography (and reporting) staff is hard at work. Wonderfully intimate and ultimately saddening images from variety of families. The splash page is above.<\/p>\n<p>* <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/photos.denverpost.com\/photoprojects\/specialprojects\/ianfisher\/photochapters.html\">Ian Fisher: American Soldier <\/a><\/strong>&#8212; Photographer Craig Walker of the The Denver Post (again) follows the enlistment, war and homecoming of one soldier. Walker&#8217;s work also the Pulitzer this year for feature photography.<\/p>\n<p>* <strong>The other photojournalism Pulitzer winner <\/strong>this year was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.desmoinesregister.com\/article\/20100412\/NEWS\/100412022\/Register-photographer-Mary-Chind-wins-Pulitzer-Prize\">Mary Chind<\/a>, who shot the dramatic photo below of a construction hanging for a crain in order to rescue a drowning woman.
