OK, maybe, if the woman is so emotionally distraught that any more logical solution (divorce lawyer!) doesn\u2019t occur to her. But conveyance of emotion in a novel needs \u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
* Good writing, of which there is little in The Last Flight. Telling dominates showing. Most attempts at depth produce superficialities such as: \u201cI\u2019m ready to step beyond the fear. \u2026 I want my life back. Mine. The one that belongs to me.\u201d However, flat writing tolerated if a book has a killer \u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
* Plot. I don\u2019t need to worry about a spoiler alert here, because there\u2019s not much to spoil. Every plot twist is signaled many pages ahead. If The Last Flight were a racetrack, it would be a straightaway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
