Kurtis Fechtmeyer
Vice President, Communications Equipment

Prior to joining Epoch Partners, Kurtis was vice president of communications technology at Dain Rauscher Wessels. At DRW, Kurtis worked on financings for Juniper Networks, Finisar, New Focus, DMC Stratex Networks, Vyyo and Remec, and advised on a number of mergers and acquisitions assignments, including the sale of the UltraRF assets of Spectrian to Cree and the purchase of Connectria by MDSI Mobile Data Solutions. Prior to joining DRW, Kurtis was an attorney in New York specializing in mergers and acquisitions and securities law. Kurtis received at B.A. from Harvard University, and a law degree from Columbia University.

Mark Hanson
Director, Application and Infrastructure Software

Mark leads the e-Business application and B2B infrastructure software and services team at Epoch Partners. Mark brings to Epoch 11 years of experience in the software and services industries. Prior to joining Epoch, he was responsible for building Merrill Lynch's eBusiness application and eIntelligence software practice. There he completed 24 financings raising more than $3.5 billion in proceeds, as well as 8 advisory assignments valued in excess of $5 billion for clients including Ariba, Calico, Ciber, CSC, Great Plains, @Home, Informix, MicroStrategy, Motorola, Oracle, Peoplesoft, STC and WebMethods. Prior to Merrill Lynch, Mark worked in marketing at IBM where he developed several key software and professional service offerings for the financial services industry. He received his M.B.A. from the Tuck School at Dartmouth College and a B.A with honors from St. Olaf College.

Greg Taxin
Director, Communications Services

Greg is a director of Investment Banking at Epoch Partners, where he focuses on strategic advice and financing to emerging communications services companies. Prior to joining Epoch Partners this year, Greg was a vice president in the Investment Banking Division of Goldman Sachs. While there, he banked the communications services industry and was a banker to Allied Riser, NorthPoint Communications, Teligent, Convergent Communications, PageNet, Fonorola, Colo.com, iPass, and others. Greg helped his clients raise more than $7 billion from the capital markets in the last two years. Before joining Goldman Sachs, Greg was a lawyer at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz in New York. His education includes a law degree from Harvard Law School and an undergraduate degree from UC Berkeley.

Scott Tierney
Director, Internet

Prior to joining Epoch, Scott was a vice president in the Investment Banking Division of Morgan Stanley, where he worked in both the Corporate Finance and Mergers and Acquisitions Divisions. For the past five years, Scott helped build the leading general industrial and financial sponsor practice in the Northwest. He has advised management teams on a wide array of transactions across several industries including aerospace, airlines, apparel, consumer, engineering, forest products, mining, retail, and wireless communications. Selected transactions include formation of Boeing's B2B Exchange, sale of Cordant Technologies to Alcoa, and sale of AirTouch to Vodaphone, as well as several assignments for Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co., Texas Pacific Group, Hellman & Friedman, and Fremont Partners. He graduated magna cum laude from Harvard College and received an M.B.A. from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.
